Claire donated a deckchair design for Deckchair Dreams 2013. She told us:
I use the Parks regularly, for me they are haven from the hustle and bustle of London life. I am always overwhelmed by the expanse of green space we have in London. The deer in Richmond Park, walking through the trees in Kensington gardens and the view from Primrose Hill are just some to the things I love about our Parks.
The theme for this year's Dekchair Dreams was Nature's Grand Designs and about her deckchair design, she said:
I wanted to create a design with a dreamlike quality, capturing the variety of botanical patterns and shapes within nature but drawn together harmoniously into one motif that flows across the canvas. I imagined sitting in the park in a deckchair and drifting off to sleep with the sun warming your face listening to the sounds of the nature around you.
Claire's limited edition deckchair is available to buy from our online shop. All proceeds help suport the Royal Parks.
