Team Squirrel

Want to join the team for 2012?
If you love London’s Royal Parks as much as we do, please consider joining Team Squirrel, our team of sporty supporters, and running in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon on Sunday 7 October 2012.
Our fabulous Team Squirrel runners help support vital projects across The Royal Parks, including wildlife conservation and landscape restoration, to community sport, education and art.
We aim to keep the Parks extraordinary for everyone to enjoy, now and in the future so imagine how great you’ll feel, knowing you have contributed, when you jog through your favourite Park in years to come!
What do we offer our Squirrel runners?
- A welcome pack with lots of support and advice from experienced fundraisers
- An invitation to our Team Squirrel tent on race day with much needed refreshment and an exclusive goody bag as you cross the finish line!
- Prizes for the fastest Team Squirrel runner and for the most successful fundraiser amongst others, as well as the opportunity to win goodies like concert tickets and race kit
- A bamboo running vest featuring Chester Squirrel, our cheeky mascot
- Ongoing contact with our dedicated Team Squirrel Captain
- The chance to run alongside Chester Squirrel on race day
- Information about the projects we're doing and our vision for future generations.
What do we ask for in return?
- Team Squirrel runners to pay a £50 registration fee up front to confirm your place
- You pledge to raise a minimum of £300 towards the work of the Foundation
The £300 sponsorship can be from your family and friends - or any other creative fundraising activities such as selling unwanted possessions on Ebay; persuading your colleagues to buy your homemade cookies for elevenses; hosting a fundraising BBQ or karaoke night at home and so on...
