For more than a hundred years, deckchairs have provided a place to rest weary feet and have a little day dream in London’s Royal Parks.
In 2005, we looked out of the window and thought how fantastic it would be to turn some of the Parks' deckchairs into works of art for everyone to enjoy. And so Deckchair Dreams was born.
In 2013, we celebrated our 10th anniversary with another 16 specially commissioned deckchairs created by celebrities from the worlds of art and drama, comedy, rock, textile design and local school and community groups. Each has drawn their inspiration from the natural world.
The Deckchair Dreams Collections transform the traditional landscape of London's Royal Parks each year, and at the same time, raise vital funds for special Park projects, in particular, our community, education and environmental programmes.
Browse our Designer Deckchair Collections, with over 100 designs, each deckchair has been inspired by nature and has its own unique appeal.
Top artists from the worlds of art, drama, illustration, cartoon, fashion design and literature have donated designs for Deckchair Dreams.
Community & Education
Deckchair Dreams includes an education programme that works with schools and communities to create deckchair designs inspired by nature.
Our deckchair canvases are recycled into limited-edition tote bags, made in partnership with bag designer Bill Amberg.
