Discovery Days take place every Wednesday and Thursday during the school holidays at our Education Centre in the heart of Hyde Park.
Our expert education team run a range of free and exciting nature inspired activities from pond dipping, helping them discover an underwater world; sweep netting in our meadow and bug hunting at our mini-beast hotel.
The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy, allowing you and your children to connect with nature together (and giving you the chance to find your inner child!) There’s even a carpeted corner for those not yet walking, bringing nature inside with animal soft toys and puppets.
There’ll be a nature trail to follow and plenty of arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained - they can even create a keepsake to take home with them as a reminder of the day. Or you can just relax on our sun deck and pause a moment to take in the natural world that hustles and bustles around us.
Bringing a Group?
(Holiday clubs, childcare groups, tour groups etc.)
We want to ensure that everyone has a brilliant time at our Discovery Days. To ensure that we have enough resources for your group to fully take part, we ask you to book in advance and make a donation to the Royal Parks Foundation of £3 per child. If you are bringing a non-profit or charitable group, please contact us to discuss your needs. Groups who do not book in advance may be refused entry.
To arrange your visit, email Laura on email@example.com.
On Discovery Days our gates will be open from 11am - 3pm so drop in anytime, book here!
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult a all times.

What the parents say...
Great day out with the kids – suitable for all age ranges. Fantastic and interesting activities that bring them back again and again. Staff are amazing and so helpful – they are so natural and the kids loved them. Thank you so much for the day
Amazing staff and so many great activities for the children that other places do not offer. Great opportunity for children to get more in touch with the nature they live in
